Wood Boring Beetles

These are the most commonly misidentified wood destroying organism we see. One example of misidentification is when wood is milled for use in construction evidence of these beetles may exist though it does not assure that a treatment is required. Another example is nail holes in finished flooring that have been filed with tan materials. We have been very happy to help home owners and business alike avoid unnecessary treatments that would not benefit them. If you do have beetles, then they are bad news can require fumigation for control using ten times the amount of fumigant needed for termites and requires five days of vacating the property.

These beetles are often associated to high moisture to thrive and means that the source of moisture should also be addressed to help assure long term control. Through correct identification we can help you protect your home or business.
